Notes

The patent was granted on the grounds of non-expert interconnection means. All the IP protocols and services are well known and widely implemented.

The invention here, the thing that nobody has done, or noticed, is that you've currently got to be an expert to make it, the internet at home, all work.

My question was:- Why can't my home internet connection be as simple as the LAN at work, or a fax machine, or my mobile phone?

The concept is simple, the detail excruciating. There are quite a few interfaces and programming components to be built to make it a reality.
